United in their Christian mission, International Association of Theological schools (IATS) and the International Association of Christian Schools (IACS) institutions share a commitment to graduating students who love the Lord with all their heart, with all their soul, and with all their mind (Matthew 22:37).
Accreditation is about quality assurance and ongoing improvement for theological schools, especially regarding student formation. It is a voluntary process through which schools mutually assure one another’s educational quality with an eye toward ongoing improvement. IATS schools have regular opportunities to reflect intentionally on their distinctive strengths and areas of desired growth in light of their unique mission.
How to Become an accredited Member of the IATS
To become an Accredited Member of the Commission please click on the APPLY button above. Applications are reviewed by our board with suggestions for ongoing standards and improvement. The cost is based on the size of your student population. Accreditation ensures that institutions of higher education meet acceptable levels of quality. In the United States accreditation involves non-governmental entities as well as federal and state government agencies.
